How long do brake pads last?
It varies a lot, typically somewhere between 20,000 and 40,000 miles, but it depends on the car, the pads fitted, and how and where you drive. Stop-start town driving wears pads faster than steady motorway miles. RH Automotive checks pad thickness at every service and MOT, so you're not caught out.
What's the difference between squealing and grinding brakes?
Squealing is often just brake dust or a worn-indicator tab and isn't always urgent. Grinding is more serious, usually meaning the pad has worn through to metal and is contacting the disc, so book it in as soon as you can to avoid further damage.
Why do brakes and suspension fail so many MOTs?

Can I still drive with worn suspension?
