MOT pricesCar Servicing · Interim, Full & Major
Car servicing at RH Automotive costs £120 for an interim service, £195 for a full service and £295 for a major service, all at fixed prices. RH Automotive is an independent garage on West Wycombe Road in High Wycombe, and services all makes and models without affecting your manufacturer warranty.
Fixed prices, so you know the cost before you book. Which one you need depends on how long it's been since the last service and how the car is driven. Call us if you're not sure and we'll tell you honestly.

Most manufacturers recommend a service every 12 months or 10,000–12,000 miles, whichever comes first, but the exact interval depends on your make and model. RH Automotive works to your manufacturer's schedule, so servicing here does not affect a vehicle still under warranty.
Modern cars often set their own reminder on the dashboard, or the interval is printed in the service book or handbook. If you're not sure what your car is due, tell us the make, model and current mileage and we'll check.
No. Under UK and EU Block Exemption rules, an independent garage can service a vehicle that is still under manufacturer warranty, provided the work follows the manufacturer's schedule and uses parts to the correct specification. RH Automotive does both as standard.
Manufacturers cannot legally insist that warranty work is done at a franchised dealer just to keep the warranty valid. We stamp your service book or provide a digital record either way, so there's a paper trail if you ever need one.
An MOT is a legal check that your car meets the minimum safety and emissions standard on the day. A service is maintenance: oil, filters and a wider inspection to catch problems before they cause a failure or leave you stranded. RH Automotive can do both in one visit.
See the MOT test page for what that covers and what it costs.
It's a structured inspection alongside the oil and filter change: fluid levels and condition, brake pad and disc wear, tyre condition and pressures, suspension and steering components, lights, battery condition, and the drive belts. The full service check adds more of the underbody and engine bay to that list.
Anything found that needs attention is quoted separately before we touch it. The service price covers the service itself, not extra repairs.
Any interim, full or major service booked with an MOT saves £20 and means one trip instead of two.
